Publications:
I have been involved in the production of mass communication materials
books, articles, reviews, advertising copy, newspaper editorials and columns,
public relations hand-out, documentary film scripts, radio documentary
interviews and special reports and "hard" news reporting for
newspapers, news magazines, news agencies, radio and TV -- for some forty
years.
Much of that work is not on hand for reference, or when available does
not lend itself to easy reference due to the quantities involved.
I have therefore summarized frequently and have provided only a selective
listing of publications or broadcasting media equivalents.

Between 1969 and 1983 I wrote and broadcast more than three thousand
radio news spots, "on-scener" actuality reports, news features,
interviews, and analysis for NBC News under the names Marc Schleifer and
William Rice and have continued to contribute very occasional radio pieces
to NBC News- Mutual Radio, CBC Radio and Radio Paris as well as participate
live as an occasional panelist for NPR's "Global Journalist"
as Abdallah Schleifer
The almost-daily radio coverage of regional developments from 1969 to
the early eighties, included:
* The rise of the Palestinian guerrilla movement in Jordan.
*The 1968-1970 Arab-Israeli War of Attrition along the Jordan River and
the Suez Canal.
* Palestinian-Jordanian civil wars from 1969 to the final 1971 expulsion
of the PLO from Jordan.
* Arab Summit Conferences.
* Palestinian-Lebanese clashes from 1969 to the spring of 1973 and periodic
fighting between Israeli and Arab forces in Southern Lebanon.
* The October 1973 War.
*The eclipse of Soviet influence in Egypt, de-Nasserization and the emergence
of the Open Door Policy.
